Abstract

This research aims to study the effect of combination of solid and cellulolytic microorganisms and to of the best doses of solid and best doses of cellulolytic microorganisms on cocoa seedlings growth in the planting medium podzolik red yellow. Research has been conducted at the experimental unit of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, from June October 2015. This research was conducted by using a factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor is solid consisting of 4 levels is (0, 25, 37,5 and 50) g/polybag seedlings and the second factor cellulolytic microorganisms consisting of 3 levels is (0, 10 and 20) ml/polybag seedlings. There are 12 combinations of treatments and repeated 3 times so it is obtained 36 experimental units and each experimental unit consisted of two seedlings, so the total is 72 seedlings. Parameters measured are seedling height (cm), stem circumference (cm), number of leaves  (pieces), leaf area (cm2 ), root volume (ml), the ratio of root, and dry weight seed (g). The data analysis by analysis of variance and continues by Duncan's Multiple Range Test at 5% level.  The results showed that the  interaction solid  and MOS no significant effect on seedling height, stem circumference, number of leaves, leaf area, root volume, the ratio of root, but  significantly effect on dry weight seed. The results show that the combination of a solid  and MOS was significantly affected on the seedling height, stem circumference, number of leaves, leaf area, root volume, the ratio of root, and dry weight seed. Application of solid  37,5 g/seedlings and 50 g/seedlings can increas cocoa seedlings growth and cellulolytic microorganisms at 10 ml/seedlings and 20 ml/seedlings can increas cocoa seedlings growth.
