Uji Efikasi Beberapa Insektisida Nabati Terhadap Ulat Penggerek Tongkol Jagung (Helicoverpa armigera Hubner)
Abstract
This study aims to obtain an effective plant-based insecticide to control corncobs (Helicoverpa armigera Hubner). The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Pest Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Riau Campus Bina Widya km 12.5 Pekanbaru. The study was conducted for three months from March to May 2016. This research was conducted by using Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 5 treatments and 5 replications, so that 25 experimental units were obtained. Each unit of the experiment was infected by 10 pests of three cob spines. The treatments were several types of vegetable insecticides with concentration of 10% (100 g / l water) consisting of: A1: Without vegetable insecticide, A2: Forest betel leaf extract, A3: Neem leaf powder extract, A4: Soursop flour extract , A5: Paitan leaf powder extract. The parameters observed were the beginning of death of H. armigera corn cobs, lethal time 50 (LT50) (Hour), daily mortality (%), total mortality (%) daily temperature and humidity of the study site. The data were analyzed statistically by using variance analysis and advanced testing with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT). The results show that the extract of betel leaf, mimba, soursop and concentration of 100 g/l water can kill the Helicoverpa armigera cauliflower with the same capability, but it has not been effective in controlling the Helicoverpa armigera caterpillar for not reaching 80%.
