Aplication Natuaral Growth Regulators on Pepper Cutting Sleeding (Piper nigrum L.)
Abstract
This research aims to know the effect of using some natural plant growth regulator concentration for the best growth of pepper seeds. This study was performed in the experimental Garden of The Faculty of Agriculture University of Riau Pekanbaru from September to November 2019. The research uses Completely Randomized Design (CRD) experiment with four treatments namely without natural plant growth regulator, 75% of red onion ectract, 50% of coconut water and 25% of bean sprouts extract. The parameters observed were shoot appearance age, shoot length, number of leaves, number of roots, root length, seed dry weight and percentage of live cuttings. The results showed that the application of natural growth regulators had a significant effect on the observation parameters shoot length, number of leaves, number of roots, root length, seed dry weight and percentage of live cuttings did not have a significant effect on the age parameters of shoot appearance. Giving 50% coconut water to pepper cuttings showed the best results on the parameters of shoot emergence, shoot length, number of leaves, number of roots, root length, seed dry weight and percentage of live cuttings
