Pengaruh Konsentrasi IBA dan Lama Perendaman terhadap Pertumbuhan Setek Lada (Piper nigrum L.)

Abstract


This study aims to determine the interaction effect of giving IBA concentration and immersion time, the effect of single factor IBA concentration, the effect of single factor immersion time, and to get the best IBA concentration and immersion time on the growth of pepper cuttings. This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University Pekanbaru, starting from June to September 2019. This study was a completely randomized design (CRD) experiment with two factors. The first factor is the concentration of IBA (K) which consists of K0 = 0 ppm (control), K1 = 100 ppm, K2 = 200 ppm, K3 = 300 ppm. The second factor was the immersion time (L) which consisted of L1 = 1,5 hours, L2 = 3 hours, L3 = 4,5 hours. Data were analyzed statistically using variance. The results of variance, which showed a significant effect, were followed by the honest real difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of giving IBA concentration and immersion time had no significant effect on all observed parameters. The factor of IBA administration had a significant effect on shoot emergence age, shoot length, number of leaves, root dry weight and shoot dry weight, and had no significant effect on the number of roots, root length and percentage of cuttings growth. The immersion time factor had no significant effect on all parameters except shoot dry weight. Giving a concentration of 200 ppm with a long soaking period of 3 hours gave a better effect on shoot emergence, shoot length, number of leaves, number of roots, root dry weight, shoot dry weight and percentage of cuttings growing on pepper cuttings.
