Karakter Polong Matang Serempak Tanaman Kacang Hijau (Vigna radiata L.) Generasi M6-18-99-1-4 Hasil Seleksi Mutasi Sinar Gamma

Abstract


Mungbean (Vigna radiata L.) production in Riau has been decreased every year, this causes low productivity of mungbean. This research purpose is to evaluate the simultaneous ripe green peas character (Vigna radiata .L) M6-18-99-1 champor strain which has been mutation by gamma ray radiance. The study was conducted using a completely randomized design consisting of 1 strain with 200 replications. The observed characters were quantitative characters in the generative phases. Data was analyzed with mean analyse and DMRT (α = 0,05) using SPSS program. In the population of the M6-18-99-1 generation, there are individual plants that have the potential to be developed, namely M6-18-99-1-4 because they have the best percentage of simultaneously ripe pods. The population of M6-18-99-1(4) is suitable to be developed because it has the character of simultaneous ripe pods which is highly favored by farmers because it is easy to maintain and labor is more efficient, so it does not have to be harvested many times.
